so fuck it, I’m letting go, letting things happen how they may or will. that’s okay. no use fretting over things and wasting time and energy in doing so. I’ve been gloomy all week, worrying over this shit, and it’s not worth it. life goes on. I need to put myself out there more. so I consign what may have been to the ashes. smouldering sparks lie dormant, able to be fanned, but I will not be doing any fanning myself. it’s gotten me nowhere thus far. burning eidola indeed, αἴθοπα εἴδωλα. so it’s been a long and confusing week. even though we had Monday off, the week was still ridiculously long. we had a few school events this weekend, including Friday, so I was left with Sunday as my ‘weekend.’ (more…)

so another good week overall, albeit long. I couldn’t wait for the goddamn weekend even from the start; it couldn’t come quickly enough. Friday was certainly the high point of my week. Having Tuesday and Thursday off creates a strange week, now staccato and now dreamy and floating along, but I love it nonetheless. (more…)

gods, what a week. Just over a week ago, I was still back in Oregon, but catapulted three hours into the future and back to familiar shores, here I am again in Florida. I took my Greek Lit exam, found out two days later I passed it, and classes started. It’s been a goddamn whirlwind. Got a great new group of students I’m teaching this semester, that’s for sure. Somehow the gods have been on my side, this week thus far, and all last week. Lovely τύχη has been kind indeed, aside from the flat tire I needed to sort out this morning on Nemesis; even that was less than it could have been. (more…)
