beyond the fields we know

a quarter-century, tomorrow. I’d go back into the annals of my life, but that’d be boring, to be honest, so I won’t reminisce too much here. I’m excited to have my birthday tomorrow. I’m hoping to do something low-key with friends on Friday, but nothing too much tomorrow. Nicole’s fam is ostensibly coming into town to visit tomorrow, which will be cool, and I’m just planning on chilling out with them. as far as I hear, my parents and grandparents pitched in to get me an iPod for my birthday too, which should be arriving in the post tomorrow or the next day, with any luck, and I’m ridiculously excited about that! grep will solve all my problems with loading music on there.     things are looking up lately, overall. school matters and affairs are relatively sorted, although they weren’t exactly what I expected. Got my draft back from my advisor at least, still waiting on the other two though… but I can make edits based on the first returned draft though. I’m waiting to get comments back from my professors on what edits need to be made to my thesis, and I’m hoping there’s less work to be done than more, naturally. I just want to get it finished up, and I’m really happy with what I’ve accomplished so far. also waiting to hear back from schools and sort all of that out, in order to render a response by the deadline of 15 April for most places, which has been slightly more frustrating, but as long as I’m proactive about it, it’ll be fine.         These days my entries have been more fractured and less focused. Such is life. I do what I can to give a glimpse into my life, a snapshot if possible. I hope you enjoy it nonetheless.

talk to me if you'd like to know something about me, or keep reading. I'm still a poor grad student and working on my PhD. I don't really know whether this will become a book anymore, but it's not wholly improbable.

feel free to drop me comments on here, or even an email at:
