well, it’s official…. Barack Obama is our next president, and I am extremely happy about this. I was worried today if he could do it, and last night I couldn’t sleep very well, probably as a result — but he did it. I’ll not say more, not now at least — that’s all that needs to be said. I’m just glad all of the campaign stress is over — it’s been a long time.
It rained much of the last few days. While I welcome the rain, it’s gloomy at the same time. Halloween went brilliantly, though, and Nicole and I had a great time that night. We went to a party at my friend Scott’s house, and hung out with a bunch of friends from school. We dressed up as Britney Spears and K-Fed; since Nicole loves Britney and thought it would make a good costume, I thought it only natural that I could be K-Fed. I’ll post a picture soon; it’s sitting on my desktop computer right now. We looked quite funny, but looked the part.
I’m a little tired and kind of out of it, so I’m afraid this is somewhat short. I’ll write more soon though if I can. I just don’t have a whole lot to say at the moment. I’m just really happy about the election, and sort of speechless (and wordless in a way) as a result. Would that we rise to great heights once again in this country.

These days my entries have been more fractured and less focused. Such is life. I do what I can to give a glimpse into my life, a snapshot if possible. I hope you enjoy it nonetheless.

talk to me if you'd like to know something about me, or keep reading. I'm still a poor grad student and working on my PhD. I don't really know whether this will become a book anymore, but it's not wholly improbable.
