a distinct chill in the air

well, the fog and cold and mist came back, at least for one day so far. This morning the sun shone brightly through the misty haze, and I was glad I’d brought my hoodie with me as I headed off to work. It was a good weekend really, and I got a lot done on my thesis — 11 pages so far, which isn’t a lot, but it’s better than nothing. I’ll be working more on it tomorrow during the day; tonight I’m a bit burnt out. if this weather keeps up, it’ll feel more like october/november should be, and is a welcome portent. (more…)

I wore long sleeves today, which in retrospect was kind of a mistake.     it’s been a long time now. the days are getting shorter, the afternoons die quicker, and the night reigns a little bit longer every day. the last vestiges of summer are betaking themselves elsewhere, to the realm in which they sleep. and september has left us, yielding to october. I’ve not taken the time to write on here, really, since I’ve felt it would be neglecting my duties as a student — that is, finishing my thesis. But I do miss getting my thoughts out on here, so here I return once again. (more…)

These days my entries have been more fractured and less focused. Such is life. I do what I can to give a glimpse into my life, a snapshot if possible. I hope you enjoy it nonetheless.

talk to me if you'd like to know something about me, or keep reading. I'm still a poor grad student and working on my PhD. I don't really know whether this will become a book anymore, but it's not wholly improbable.

feel free to drop me comments on here, or even an email at:
