Fuck, this shit cracks me up. I love when the MPAA/RIAA say that they’re trying to “protect” people from getting sued.
I read the following in a p2pnet article today:
The MPAA has, of course, been ‘educating’ children for some time:
“The volunteer and the teacher worked from a 25-page classroom guide to explain the concept of using a computer to download files, which they called ”morally and ethically wrong.’ The students played roles such as ‘The Film Producer,’ ‘The Starving Artist,’ and were asked questions such as ‘Has anyone ever copied your homework? How did this make you feel?’”
Motherfuckers indoctrinating elementary/middle/high school kids. “Downloading is morally and ethically wrong.” Perhaps it’s taken out of context, but fuck, so me downloading a photo or a demo or (god forbid!) some random mp3…. that’s morally and ethically wrong. That motherfucker before movies still cracks me up: “It’s just…. not right!”
How about TV shows? My friend downloaded a couple episodes of the OC — and I remember he said a mutual friend of ours said it was “sinful and illegal” to download that, since Fox owned the copyright and blah blah blah.
My argument against that: It’s not aired on cable TV, thus free to anyone with a TV and an antenna, and hence not shortchanging anyone. It’s the same fucking thing as using a VCR, just digital. If you missed an episode, and you don’t know when it’s going to come on next, shouldn’t you be able to download it?
Personally, I’ve made DVD-Rs of Chappelle’s Show episodes I downloaded, and I’m just waiting for season 2 to come out on DVD — I got season 1 DVD for my bday. I think it’s a great thing. I wanted to do the same with Joan of Arcadia, but it never ended up working out, so fuck it, I’ll wait for the DVD. So fuck that wack argument saying it’s “sinful” and “illegal.” If I could buy the fucking show, I most likely would, but I can’t.

well, motherfuck. I got A’s all fucking year, for Christ’s sake. This is ill. Perhaps I can get my parents to throw me a fucking party or something. I’m happy as hell — my GPA is 3.49 accumulative now! i probably sound like a moron, but hey, i am gonna want to get into grad school after next year, and i need the grades to, so i’m tryin to get as many A’s as i can. anyways, just thought i’d share that. not much else going on, just tired and just woke up. be back later. peace.

man, it’s been intense the last few days. haven’t had much time for myself. been busy with starting work and all, and havent come home until like midnight the last couple days either. i miss writin in here 
hopefully i will get more inspiration. it’s just been a time of total motherfuckin’ flux for me. clockwork.
i saw The Chronicles of Riddick tonight. fucking incredible movie. a lot of haters out there, but seriously, the movie is fucking perfect. i wish i had the energy to write sort of a review of it, but oh well. i’m out of it. so peace.

fuck, i’m tired. my sister graduated today from high school (yayor!), but before that i had some cashier training at shopko. they got all bitchy at me at first when i told them, but basically i said “look, this happens once in a lifetime, i can stay for two hours and that’s it.” so it was ok, and i guess i’ll have to take some test tomorrow. 8am sharp again. oh well. today im relaxing, we have a bbq at my grandparents’ in a couple hours, then i have no idea whats going on. im just burnt out, yo. sorry i havent been around much, just been busy with school and wRk. miss you all. just been despairing lately i guess. worried about work starting, jitters. i wanted to say i love you jenn, you never read this, but just wanted to write it anyways. i wanted to also sorta dedicate this post to bekah, just wanted to say i love you too and hope youre doin well…. anywayz…. i love you all, especially jenn, and each and every one of my friends!!! peace.

umm well i cant think of anymore. check MF_Doom-Metal_Samples-2003-CMS for a lot of original tracks Doom samples. ill bbl, peace.

did you know that he samples the film Wild Style at least twice? i was watching the film and I was like hey, that’s from the fuckin operation doomsday intro. then I remembered it was older than doomsday. other time was some convo sampled in a skit. its the one where the guys like “its like the hands of doom” then the girl comes after with “yeah who is that guy anyway?” haha
yo.. dont have that metal samples release!!! #1 thing i need now!!!!!!!!!! so sweet. hey you heard MF_Doom-Mm_Food_Advance-2004-FTD?. greatest advance I ever heard- had the new doom tracks that were already out but i hadn’t heard yet, and didn’t spoil the rest of mm food. mmmmmmm food. peace dude.
