back to square one. done with greek, but i still have two hours to wait until class. what a bitch. should go get some lunch after a while, and maybe hit the anthro books a bit. dunno.

you know, i really should do some reviews for music and movies and such on here, but i’m not always that verbose. i guess i have to be in the right mood to really comment and review a movie or cd well. books as well, i dunno, i am not a good reviewer of books really. but i do love reading them. i guess it depends on the book.

anyways, life is good. its sunny and blue out now, and the sun illuminates the dew left by the rain that fell just prior. still cold though, with a bite in the air, which is preferable to hot.

inter papillas et oscula libata positus meae enormi feminae, per aeternitatem laetus ero. cum civitatis mea delisti et civium milia necasti, tamen te amo, tuque femininissima muliebris amoris plenissima tibique par nulla. ut dixit Ovidius, “in toto nusquam corpore menda fuit.” papillae, facies, venter, femur…. omnis tui corporis pars pulchrissima perfectissimaque. ac pedes tui sine mendo. quam pulchrissimi tui pedes, quos generaliter solos videre possum. cum caelum adspexerim, tuas papillas ventrem oculos bellissimas perfectum nitentis miratus et flere incepi. me ex terra carpsisti et caeli ad sidera tulisti, tuos oculos, mea. me candide arridens, basiavit dea enormis.

Solum mihi amor verus melior sentire possit.

The end. Maybe a translation next time. :)

well, it’s friday. finally. been a long week. the super bowl is gonna be hilarious this weekend. claude’s probably going to come over, and maybe a few other people if i can invite them *shrugs* … so it should be fun. I was planning on going skiing this weekend, but I don’t think it’s going to happen, given that I’m…
1) watching the super bowl
2) more importantly, studying for a midterm in Anthro.
So yeah… doubt that is going to happen, which sucks, because I wanted to go. What also sucks is that I have three hours to kill between Greek and my Anthro discussion today (10-13.00), and I’ve got nothing better to do than either study for Anthro or fuck around on here. Most likely I’ll be doing the latter — It’s Friday, for Christ’s sake.

More Latin poetry. Maybe I’ll write another one today…
i’m disjointed, fairly muddled. it’s a hazy, cloudy blue day outside. was raining earlier, and my car started fucking leaking (i need to fix the sunroof rrrRr), which was pretty bloody unexpected. i think it rained too much yesterday, and it was really windy… last night, i mean. no wind right now though, the trees are barely moving. it’s a normal oregon day really, which is what i know and love. don’t give me all that sun and calor infelix (unhappy heat). I can’t take it.

read some Dante sometime. beautiful stuff. but before you do, read Vergil’s Aeneid…. it will help you put Dante’s Vergil in context. classical literature i can always recommend. just say the word.
Vergil, Ovid, Livy, Catullus, Sallust, Caesar, Cicero, Propertius… but never read Seneca the Younger, unless you read Apocolocyntosis. The rest is worthless IMHO.

Anyways, I’m done rambling. I’ll be around.
Modo mors inceptum est… Plurissima in Orco quam carpunt oculi.
(Death is only the beginning… There are many more things in Hell than meet the eye). I hope I rendered that correctly. LOL. Peace.

well, its a wednesday morning. what’s up? You know what? Ever heard of GTS (giantesses)? If not, check out http://www.giantess.com or http://www.egiantess.com. Incredible stuff. Dunno if you all are into that kinda stuff or what, but give it a peep perhaps. I just recently got onto this “hub” again, which is sort of like a file-sharing forum, which you connect to with a client and then share your files. I’ve gotten some incredible GTS content off of there. Very glad it’s back… it used to be up before, but it disappeared, and then my friend ElwoodB, who ran it before, decided to start it up again. yay!

anyways… i want to write some more Latin poems. (And as you can see, I’ve been working on this monster Poe book, which is close to 1000 pages — a collection of his stories and poems in toto).
But yeah, I need to write some more Latin poems, I think the last one was awesome (correct me if I’m wrong) and I’d really like to do some more. Will have to invoke the Muse for some nice inspiration, and hopefully it will turn out well. Oh well, it’s just for fun.

Can’t access my computer from here for some reason. Perhaps the AVI encoding process is taking up too much CPU time *shrugs* dunno…. can’t even get a ping from my computer, which is odd. Note to self: check it when you get home. Shit, I’m tired.
disjointed.
It’s going to be a long day. Makeup for my Anthro discussion at 17.40, Greek study session at 18.30, and then church at 21.00. Fuck, it’s going to be a long day.

Well, hopefully everyone out there in the void is having a nice day. The forecast consists of tempests and nigrantes commixta grandine nimbi — black clouds with hail having been mixed in… (adapted from Verg. Aen. 4.120, if you missed the reference).
I’m out for now. Deliba caliginem — enjoy the gloom.

I am gonna have to do some more of this Latin poetry shit. That felt good writing. Anyone feel the same way? C’mon, give me some encouragement. A poet always can use more inspiration.

(translation)

The most beautiful twilight glimmers through my window while the shining stars and ethereal planets [lit. celestial spheres] illuminate the icy and decaying (but not uncomfortable) darkness. Bristling monsters appear on my wall, but they are only shadows. Who can find love in the kingdom of shadows? Dido, you found the love of Sychaeus when you fell to Tartarus. You rejected Aeneas when you saw him, but you still had your lover [Sychaeus]. I love darkness and twilight but light is also good. Like Ovid, laying in my bed I watch the world [lit. sphere of the lands], my dreams and shards of mirrors having been shattered just like the threads of the Sisters [of Fate]. The Sisters cut the threads of life at the right time for the most part. But it is not yet the time of my death. My discourse has been long enough. Farewell.

Well, I just composed that shit right off the top of my head (well, not entirely, cos I used a dictionary for a bit), and it felt good. Note the reference to Ovid. I’m reading Ovid (a Latin erotic/elegiac poet) for my Latin class this term, and well, part of this is based on his Amores, I.5. Read it sometime; it should be at your local bookstore, the book is called The Erotic Poems. And remember, it’s by Ovid. Peace.
~ edit: Thu 08 Dec 2005: fixed a couple things: fractum speculum for fract[or]um specul[or]um, replacing fracti speculi which was ‘of a mirror having been shattered,’ as well as similes to similibus so it agrees with somniis and fractionibus. i let the problems go unnoticed for way too long. I just noticed, too, that there are inherent problems in the original English. The dreams have been shattered, but the shards haven’t… it’s the shards of mirrors having been shattered. I was inclined to delete fractum for fractorum, but with the layered meaning put forth here, it is perfectly acceptable. hopefully this is not unintelligible to you all. ~

Just relaxing down in the basement of Grayson Hall, listening to music and doing random shit on the computer. I’ve got Anthro discussion at 1, and after that I’m home free until Tuesday :-D Gotta love holidays. It was kinda funny — in Greek, I had to go up to the board and write stuff, and I am wearing my Gory Days shirt, so my back was to the class and it was saying “PSYCHO-LOGICAL+RECORDS” on the back lol… oh well. They all think i’m crazy anyways. Another strange thing is that I didn’t feel very steady writing with my left hand, and my right hand seemed to be able to write fairly legibly. That’s really strange, because I’ve always been left-handed.
Shit, I haven’t listened to Live in awhile, I miss these motherfuckers. Need to get their CD V, haven’t gotten it yet, and also Birds of Pray… *shrugs* Haven’t been able to find V anywhere though, which sucks… Just seen Birds of Pray at Face the Music… and only Throwing Copper at Sam Goody…worthless bastards. But yeah. I should go to Target or something maybe. Need to buy V at least, because that has been out for at least 2 or so years and I haven’t heard it! LOL… last one I heard was The Distance to Here, and I was a fucking junior in HS when I copped that one. Long time back (like what, 4 years?… yeah). Every once in awhile I need a dose of good alt-rock. I only have a small bit of it though, because I love hiphop so much. hehehe… but yeah. I’ll be around. I’m remotely logged in on my comp at home, so if you are on AIM or something, msg me if u like. I’ll probably answer. Anyways… be back later.

These days my entries have been more fractured and less focused. Such is life. I do what I can to give a glimpse into my life, a snapshot if possible. I hope you enjoy it nonetheless.

talk to me if you'd like to know something about me, or keep reading. I'm still a poor grad student and working on my PhD. I don't really know whether this will become a book anymore, but it's not wholly improbable.
