Been a week since I’ve written anything… I got XP reinstalled last night, after wiping my C: drive and backing up as much as I could onto my D: drive (my F: drive was allergic to DOS)… yet the ones I backed up are all short filenames, which blows ass. I’ll just have to reconstruct the names from my own recollection I guess. It’s good to finally have some balance with my computer these days, and have it WORKING. Got a new video card, an ASUS Ge-Force VT1700 Pro AGP with 64Mb video mem and an nVidia chip…. shit rules… can’t wait to try out some games on it (RTCW, etc). Need to reinstall Nero as well, so I can burn CDs…. that is essential. It’s nice to have a FRESH install of XP for once; I still had remnants of Win2k on my D: drive and needed to remove those, and also all traces of my former XP are gone, so it’s starting from scratch, except for the files I backed up on CD and the D: drive. I got my Outlook Express mail imported however, which makes me happy, since I thought I wasn’t going to be able to see it even though I backed it up. I’ve got a hell of a lot of saved messages.
But yeah, I’m going to work on it after I get home from school, hopefully get at least AIM/MSN/Yahoo, mIRC, and BPFTP up. Nero too of course. I also need to install my iPod software, since I need to transfer MHz – Table Scraps to it… and well, I want it on there anyways. Hopefully it should work better too, because before it was a royal bitch to fuck around with the FireWire shit, but it should be ok now. Office needs to be reinstalled too… all in due time, though… all in due time. Anyways, I’m out for now, I’ve got Greek in like 20 minutes, so I’ve gotta go, but drop me an email or somethin if anyone’s out there, or at least give me some props. I hope someone’s listening.
